The Julie Benken Memorial Drum Major Scholarship Recipients

The Julie Benken Memorial Drum Major Scholarship has several requirements necessary in order to be awarded to any particular Drum Major in any given year. The funds will be used for one tuition scholarship in the Bearcat Bands with the following stipulations:

• Student must have served one year as a Drum Major for the UC Bearcat Bands.
• Student must have junior or senior status.
• Student must be in good academic standing with his/her college as a full-time student of the University of Cincinnati.
• Student must exemplify the characteristics of Julie Benken, particularly in terms of leadership, mentorship, compassion, enthusiasm and having the best interests of the Bands at heart.
• Scholarship can be renewable provided that the current recipient meets the required stipulations as outlined in this agreement.
